I was cleaning up the XF after a 2k mile trip and noticed that on the lower left corner of the windshield there was a 3-4 inch crack. I do not remember anything hitting the windshield or and drastic temperature change. I cannot figure out what caused it to crack. I did put in new Koni's that I have driven on the hardest setting and hit a few good bumps.... ??? My insurance will cover it with no deductible, but I don't want to put in a new windshield and have it crack to because of a problem I could correct, but didn't. Maybe it just cracked. Anyway, if you have any ideas of an area of the car I should look at, let me know. Thanks!

 

Have it fixed - if it cracks again, you can go to the insurance company again. The most important thing is - if it is cracked, then it has to be replaced! Good luck!
