Had the upper console out and upper dash vent out. Then I noticed a burgundy plastic sheeth and it has a wire inside. But I cant see where it went to and I don't know what it controls....

Please help!

It goes behind the dash on the drivers side. The sheeth was by the upper dash vent, and it looks broken...

 

Picture would be helpful. Is it a black single wire?

 

I will work on getting a picture... I stripped the burgundy protective sleeve back and its a white wire... I don't see what it could have went too???

Exactly. Its way deep behind the gauge panel area.

 

My first thought was it might be an OEM nav antenna lead

 

Same here, but the NAV antenna is supposed to sit ahead of the dual center vent right under the dash plastic.

Not that I'VE ever been in there to look...

That's a great thought. I will check my stereo shop buddys wiring on Monday for that.
The wire looks in tact and I cant see where it would have went too! And I have ran wiring all over this car.
I think it came out when I removed the dash for painting and I did not see it till I went back to install....
