Welcome to the forum!
Provide more information. The hood doesn't latch? Hood is upright and cannot be lowered? The pistons have a button that you press in when you want to extend the hood vertically to 90 degrees. Has the hood been inadvertently raised to the extended position and now needs the latch released? Its likely explained in the manual.
