Cruise control shuts off when I switch my lights on.
Ok so i had a few issues with my 04 crossfire when i got it from my brother. All of them are electrical. I replaced all the fuses(even though most were not blown). Alternator was replaced by mechanic. I bought an OBD2 Scanner and cleared the ECU code for secondary air injector. That got rid of my check engine light, and my power seats work now after that. My highbeams still dont work, and i have replaced the bulbs. They were not burnt out. Sorry if its a lot, but really need help. Just like to know what may be the issue, if any others have had this issue before with the cruise control. I guess I rambled on for a bit lol. Problems I am having now. 1)High beams dont work, and dashboard indicator doesnt even come on.📱2)Cruise control works fine until I switch to my parking lights, before I even get to my headlights. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Last time I had weird electrical problems it was from a bad ground. One of those bolts to the body with a number of ground wires was corroded and loose.
Well, that really is a lot of info, but you neglected the #1 thing we need to know. Has the battery been replaced? That is the #1 cause of electrical gremlins, I would posit that anyone with the original still in their car should just replace it at this point instead of waiting for it to fail. A bad ground cable as previously mentioned could also be an issue, so check it out while you check the battery.
The original white Varta battery is pretty distinctive, do not get another Varta to replace. Just get a good one from a local place like sears or Wallyworld.
