I have a problem after I locked my 2004 Crossfire the car made a chirping sound and the outside lights flashed it stopped but when I unlocked or lock the chirp sound came back. Car starts no problem no warning lights. Thanks in Advance, Lori

 

Well, we'll need more info to help. Using the remote to lock the car, the lights should flash when you loack or unlock the car. However, it's usually only 1 time to unlock and 3 times to lock (I believe). The chirping sound may be the result of a modification the owner (asuming you are not the original) made to the car. The chirping, if the mod was made, should coincide with the flashing of the lights. Once, or 3 times. If it is chirping more, and sounds more like constant crickets, even if it stops, it's very likely the cars alarm SCREEM module that may be going bad. Lots of info on here about options to take care of that issue. I believe it ranges from removing the alarm, replacing it, etc.

Let us know precise symptoms and it will become clear.

 

Thanks for the reply. It happens on it’s own. Alarm on or off at least I think it was off I locked the door with the key from the outside. It also happens over and over again till I pulled fuse #9 per anther post in this forum. Thanks Lori
