Oil Pan Sensor Error
I decided to check how many miles my car had till its next oil change. It said 1300 miles... I know it had the oil changed just before I bought it about 300 miles ago, so I figure the dealer just didn't reset the system. I then decided to check the oil level from the computer, but instead of getting a level sensor, the clock icon just flashes. According to the manual this indicates a problem with the oil pan sensor.
Does anyone know what might cause this? Just looking for some heads up info before taking it into the dealer.

ok.... The sensor error is gone, and my system says oil level is ok. Granted, not from anything the dealership did. I apparantly left a reading light on when I was checking the Oil Change/level readout. And it seems the Crossfire does not shut them off automatically to save the battery. The battery completely died and I had to jump start it, and I think that reset something with the system so the oil pan sensor is now working.
My Oil Change readout is still incorrect and needs to be reset, because the dealership only seems to have 1 person who knows how to do it, and he only seems to work a couple hours a week. So I may just give in and do it myself and know its off by 300-400 miles or let it go till I change it in 5-6k.

It's easy to do. My dealer forgot to do it as well. Argghhh. Cuz then I had to do what your about to do:
Do a search for the oil change VFAQ. Near the bottom there's instructions on resetting the thing. It's easy and you can do it in 15 seconds.
