Default Fuel pump question

Hey everyone,

2004 Crossfire. Should the fuel pump hum when the key is on? Mine doesn't. The car will run about a minute, then quits. I've already replaced the ECM, and the CPS. I'll replace the filter, but I'm not sure about checking the pump too.

thanks

Talking Re: Fuel pump question

THere is a pressure port on the fuel rail on the passenger side of the engine pointing toward the right front bumper corner , looks like a tire valve, I did lots of testing and you can monitor rail pressure there.

If the fuel pump is dead you can run on the 'vacuum' in the motor pulling fuel thru the pintel of the injector but as soon as you touch the throttle, it stalls.

Enjoy Wdy

It's been five years, don't ya think he's fixed it by now?

Interesting point that Woody made. I"m gonna try that.
