Guys, needs some help here. Why use the v-8 box? Are our current boxes more restrictive than the V-8 air. I realise that the v-8 box is bigger (inlets at least) but it is still the same type of design.

In other words does bigger mean better performance? I would have thought that a design that allows more direct cold air flow would be better than a same design that is bigger. A bigger flawed design is a bigger flaw.

Please advise

Actually it's not bigger is better it's more air less restriction is better .Why the V-8 box ? it is bigger filters and pipes from the same loction ,in the front grill.And as babeviper suggested you can't get much better than the original design !Only bigger !

Sorry Dan, I kept seeing it fits, it doesn't fit, etc, couldn't tell who was right. Available at our nearest MB dealer???? Part number if anyone knows?? Thanks
