Craigslist scammed:( Need your help my fellow xfers.
First off I need to preface this by saying it is completely my fault. I didn't do my due diligence in purchasing the crossfire I should have brought a code scanner with me. I was just so excited to having my first crossfire my judgement was clouded. So on the day of purchase everything was fine. The next day though I get a check engine light. The light then goes away the next day. Then I get it again and it has gone away again...it's intermittently turning on. So I take it to a shop to do a code scanning...and the amount of codes this crossfire is depressing to say the least. I'm posting because I'd like your input on fixing these codes...if it's even possible, or if it's a simple fix which I'm hoping for.

With your "check engine" light going on and off I suspect the codes
might be false too.
Once a code is registered it will not clear by itself therefore the light should stay on continuously
This is the list of all the codes for your Crossfire

I'm sure others will offer advice so keep a watch on the thread you have here for more responses and good luck
It might not be all that bad so don't panic
With an intermittant/erroneous 1040/1041 (bus signal) it could report almost anything.
ps if you have an Android smart phone or tablet all you need is a mini OBD dongle ($12 from Amazon) and Torque Pro ($5 from the play store) to read and clear many things.

The car is running absolutely flawlessly I even got a smog check on the day the check engine light was off and it passed. No idle issues, no stalling, smooth fast acceleration that is consistent.
Disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 minutes or so.
That should reset most, if not all the codes, then you can start over and see what new codes come up.
How old is the battery ? Might want to replace it just for grins.

Hmm, one other thing, is there a chance that the actual device reading the codes is flaky? maybe after a full reset as others mentioned, try another code reader. I also suggest/agree with getting one of the Bluetooth - Cell phone adapters and Torque app. I got one of the cheap ones, and it came with a small cd with the android .apk file for torque, probably not really approved, but it works great.
Well I have an iPhone so that's out of the equation. I'll disconnect the battery and try it out see if that helps. Thanks everyone for your input. I have a little peace of mind.
Yep, there are some that use WiFi instead of Bluetooth that work well. But I think they are more expensive.
Supposedly works with Torque Pro and iPhones.
There is no way in hell all those codes are real. I'm betting it is related to flaky battery connections or a dying battery (that still starts the car - we've seen this before).
I'd also yank the Relay Control Board and go over the solder on the board itself - there may be a flaky connection that is interrupting power to one of the controllers, causing it to spam the CAN bus with garbage.

What's a few bucks more anyway, we need our toys.
