As 180 mentioned, these symptoms sound like a clogged fuel filter, which is recommended to be changed every 40k. Really an inexpensive maintenance procedure.

Anyway, some of your symptoms sound like Tricia's Limited in Oakwood GA. She struggled with it, problem would come and go. Replaced the MAF twice. Found a crack in the intake box (which you don't have) - replaced intake box. Still not right, then in two weeks, it got way worse - she could not even drive it.

Just saturday, one of us here took the throttle body off and, leaving it plugged in, had her turn the key on - the throttle plate started doing a dance. Replaced the throttle body (one of us had a used spare). Problem solved and Tricia loves her car again.

But, her car has 180,000 on it. It is, I THINK the first throttle body issue I've heard of NOT COUNTING those who have done upgrades, of course. Oh, and her car threw NO codes.

(As you have been told, the P0410 code is nothing more than a distraction and emissions thing, it does NOT cause the car to run poorly.)
I was wondering if this wasn't "case #2" on a throttle body myself..

I missed the answer buried in the reply to the question.

Sounds like the auxiliary water pump to me. No throttle at higher speeds, poor acceleration at hard start all where cured with the #10 water pump.

Thanks everyone. I will be changing the fuel filter and hope that will resolve the problem.

If that doesn't work I am sure you will be hearing from me. Thanks again!!!
