Battery Removal
Does this battery have a vent ?
I never noticed if it does
If you study the photo carefully you can see the boss at each end where the vent or plug are inserted. They are roughly inline with the word 'BATTERY' printed on the top on the left. So yes that battery has vent holes. The one against the firewall should have a plug in it and the front facing hole should have a vent trap or a hose that directs any spillage away from the car body. We have seen the damage that the acid can do.
My AGM battery has vent holes in it, as the chemical reaction in all lead/acid batteries produces gasses.

Nanoseconds is all it takes. I going to assume this thread is mostly venting about getting old and weak. I resemble my remark but geez. It won't lift straight out, ok, won't move side to side, ok, won't move back, ok, forward and out at an angle.

I think that some people will tend to over tighten the top clamp strap, I tighten it so that it will still deflect by moderate pressure pushing it down by the nut.
