Default Larger TB question

Okay so I read through a guide on how to change the stock TB to a 74mm TB, I am interested in doing so, but will I still be able to hook a needswings CAI? I have no modification experience, I have only changed out stock parts for new ones.

Also what's the size of the original one, and how did the 74mm come about? I mean how do I search or find out information when I want to try something new. How did you guys find out all the different part that'll fit from one car to another?

Default Re: Larger TB question

The OEM NA TB is 68mm.
The 74mm comes from a MB model that has a larger displacement engine, or from a Crossfire SRT6.
Yes, you can still utilize a CAI, the outside dimensions of the 68mm and the 74mm are the same.
To really get the bang for your bucks, you need to add in a Eurocharged tune when all is said and done.
( the EC tune is on sale just now at $300 )

NOTE: I have had a NW CAI, 74mm TB and EC tune on mine for about 4 years now.
