How Can I Switch FSS Display From Days to Miles
All (please excuse a newbie question)...
How can I switch the FSS display from days to miles? The quick reference guide says "You can push the **** to choose between a display that shows you miles to next service or days to next service".
Well, I've been pressing, holding, etc with no success. And yes, I've tried it with no key and with the key in the ON position too. I can easily get the days display but can't switch it to miles.
Again, a newbie question but couldn't find this on the forum nor on the internet. Even tried looking up Mercedes sites and forums for it...
Thanks in advance!

I don't think you can change it from days to miles. The FSS normally displays a certain number of miles left until service, but if it has been a long enough period of time and that many miles have not been reached, it will display days to service. It's like how most places say change your oil every XX months or YY miles. The FSS displays which ever one comes first. Assuming you bought your car new (leftover), it has been sitting for over a year with the same oil in it. That is why it is displaying days.
just reset it and it should go to 7000 the days are showing cause it needs service and if im correct the days will continue to get higher could be wrong but thats what I did. Are you able to check the oil level? if no after resettig the FFS that feature should work also
Thanks all! Mine is a 2004 leftover, so I'll be changing my oil in 9 days. Almost have 900 miles on the car already, so it'll be just in time for 1,000.
In the old days, it was common practice to change oil at 1,000 to get shavings out of the engine. Now I'm doing this 'cause the oil is a little stale and the car insists!
