Default Air, hot and cold

My air conditioner blows cold on driver side, hot on passenger side. What divides this air and how do I get to it? I searched for this problem and found nothing.

Sounds to me like the passenger side heater solenoid has an open circuit/

Try feeling the 2 hoses coming from the control valves under the hood. If one is hot, and the other not, then this is the problem.
Either the solenoid coil is open, or there is a wiring fault, or the control module in the dash is not supplying a ground to the coil.

George if you could be a little more specific, where is the control valve and what does it look like. I went out and looked but I didn't see anything that might be it.
I had the problem of the fan speed control being flaky. I saw where someone had a fix for that so I did it thinking it might fix the air problem too. It fixed the fan speed problem but the air problem is still there.
This was not a problem until last Friday, and since.

It is circled in yellow : ( one hose going to it, two hoses coming from it to the two heater cores.

They work kinda bass-akwards, 12v is supplied to the solenoids, ground on other side means STOP flow, no ground = ALLOW flow.
The control module sends appropriate ground pulses to match the position you have the dial wheels in.

After getting sidetracked several times,I got back to the problem. The one on the right (looking back as in the picture) is hot the one on the left is not.
From my understanding of the schematic they are both sides powered by the same fuse. I had the controls out yesterday and looked it over good. So. if the solenoid is not working, it looks like a replacement is in order. Is the unit I was feeling of the part that needs replacing?

I just took the valve off and took is apart. The right side, (the one that got hot) had water come out of it, and testing the continuity of the coils the right one is open, so now I need to know what it's name is so I can look for a new one.

Thanks George, I couldn't have done it without you. The part is ordered and on the way.
I looked back at messages about this problem, and found several going back to 2005, but no one offered a solution, mostly smartass remarks, but perseverance wins out.

I put 'heater valve' in search and came up with plenty of threads.
Nothing to it, plenty of solutions here, you just have to look.
I forgot to add that I got to “heater valve” after searching “hot, cold,” just progression.

I clicked on your "Click", and got just what I said before, nothing.

Sorry about that, it worked yesterday, put "heater valve" in search as it says. As I said later I got there from another search "hot, cold'.

The part came in yesterday, when I looked at it I said a few dirty words, because it was not the right one. The new one had all three hose connections coming out on the same side, where the crossfire part has the intake on one side and the outlet on the other. I looked to see if I could re-route the hose and No. As I was thinking about what I could do it occurred to mt to just take the guts out and swap them, so that's what I did, and it works fine now.
Again thanks to George for your valuable help in diagnosing and finding the part.
I have had this car since June 2012, it has 52000 miles and this is the first real problem. We have gotten along real well.
