I recently purchased a 05 Crossfire,the guy I bought it from drove thru a big puddle of water and it sucked water into the intake,needless to say the motor was trashed,but it still ran. I bought an engine and installed it,now I can't get it to start,I'm having alot of them same symptoms as everyone else,keyfob doesn't work,no alarm sounding off though,trunk locked,anyways,all I did was swap an engine from a running car,and now it wont start,have to keep resetting the computer to get to crank just to get it to start for about one or two seconds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

You didn't happen to swap any of the modules in the black box by the battery, did you ?

 

No I did not. The only thing I did in the black box was disconnect the wire harnesses for the engine.

 

OK, was asking cause the SKREEM and PCM have to know each other.
The symptoms you described are SKREEM synptoms.

 

Does that mean I need to replace the SKREEM module,and if so,where can I find an affordable one?

 

You can source the SKREEM from Rob at Needswings, but in your case I would advise trying to contact him first and get his opinion on your situation.
