will not start
Re: will not start
Hey folks,
More on my Crossfire will not start condition. I installed a new crankshaft position sensor and no start. Checked battery voltage and it was 12.4V. Put the charger on and got battery voltage to 13.5V. It started. I checked battery voltage and it was 14.4V. I am assuming alternator is working. I shut it down and let it set 30 minutes. I checked the battery and it was at 12.6V. I tried to start it and no go. Any ideas?

Question 1:
When you say, "I tried to start it and no go." Do you mean the starter would NOT engage or do you mean the starter engaged and engine turned over and over, but would not start?
Question 2:
If the starter will not engage, get in the car, turn to 'start' (to verify is it not working at this time) and if it will not engage the starter, leave key in "on" for 30 seconds. Does engine fan warp up to very high speed in that 30 seconds?
