I have never heard of this issue on the Crossfire. If the radio had been changed or messed with in some manner the constant on power may have been switched in place of the switched power.
The OEM radio can be turned ON with the ignition OFF. It will switch OFF after a set time or when it senses the battery is getting too weak.

correct but i think if i recall you can turn it back off and it will start to behave normally again. i remember coming across this exact issue once but i can't remember if i ever found a issue.

as far as the radio-it still comes on for no reason.

I was just working on the door lock issue, pulled a relay, replaced it, cycled the lock unlock on the key fob, and the radio started playing.

As for the pump, i here a click when going from lock to unlock-but no other noise.

Hard to believe that the pump died just as i was working on other issues.

Is there ANY chance someone in the past put a stupid 'remote start' kit in this car? Or perhaps ANY aftermarket security or sound system?

Nope, Have owned this car 7 or 8 years now. No remote start,no aftermarket alarm, stock sound system.

I can live with the radio issue, it seems if you manually turn it off before turning the car off, it stays off.

Now if i could get the door locks to function again!
