Default Key Fob Programming

Recently had a new key fob made through the dealership. I did not get it programmed but the key seems to have been already came programmed because it unlocks and locks and will start the engine the only problem I am facing is that sometimes the car does not crank and I have to turn the key fob the other way in the ignition and than the car will crank fine. Any experience with this or possible solutions. Thank you

Your problem does not stem from the new fob, it is most likely the RCM and if it is you should fix it before the problem becomes permanent.
Check the contacts on the RCM and look for burnt ones. It could, of course, be something else but you have to start somewhere.
