My crossfire won't run b/c of a bad chip! Can anyone help?
Dear All:
I am new to this forum. Background: leased a 2005 crossfire coup. Bought a 2008 coup. Great condition with 60,000 miles.
In November 2019, my car would not start. The dealer said a chip which tells the vehicle to turn on went bad. They are unable to get the part. And if they get the part, it has to be encrypted with my vin number and they are unable to do it. Another Chrysler dealer/service said the same thing-no part and can't help. Both dealers said they had other cars come in with the same problem and they could not help them either. Chrysler corp. was no help. I checked with a contact at Mercedes America, They can't help.
Most repairs shops have said the something.
The Part: the service department said the part is a "module door lo" part number 5099541AA.
or, perhaps it is a "Ignition Assembly Lock Set 2004-2008 Chrysler crossfire 5101014AA" as someone else told me.
The question is can this be fixed? Has someone used someone who could do the job?
I love this car and would hate to send it to the junk yard with only 60,000miles.
Thanks everyone.

Contact Rob at Needswwings.com
The part numbers you are referring to are the SKREEM module and the Antenna Ring around the ignition switch
Rob can get you running again....read through the link below and watch the video on the Needswings website
Is your car is doing what is described in the video ??
If so it is the SKREEM module or the Antenna Ring and the SKREEM module is no longer available as a replacement part anywhere
Yours can be re-furbished though to get you running again - It is a VIN specific part for only your car

Taking a Crossfire to a dealer almost NEVER fixes anything. But you now know that.
Post #2 is all you need, read my sigline below, then call or email Rob at Needswings and you will be on the road in a matter of days.
