Sticky key fix now no ignition
I did the sticky key fix yesterday and now the key turns fine but the car will not start. Will not crank, no ignition. I replaced the car battery that was shot since it has been sitting for a while. The rest of the electronics work fine. I failed to look at where the key ring was before removing it (around the key hole that communicates with the FOB) but I reinstalled it with the wire at the bottom as a youtube video said. I will pick up a new battery for the FOB just in case.
Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It was if I kept trying several times and was getting worse and worse. I thought that also had to do with the sticky key problem. No?
Thanks. I ordered a new one. Once I swap it out, if that's the problem, I'll send the old one to him for repair and throw that in the glove box as a spare next to the spare CPS sensor. Gotta love the electrical on these cars
Battery for the FOB only has to do with remote lock/unlock function.
The most common issue for no start after sticky key work is ring not replaced around key hole or ring wire came unplugged from SKREEM.

Start/crank issues are not a sticky key issue symptom. Specifically if the car would crank and not start it's the CPS. If it wouldn't crank at all it's the RCM.
I was extremely lucky. When the RCM went bad in my 2007, the car was sitting in my driveway. Like you, I bought a new RCM from RockAuto & sent the old one to Tighe for repair. Now I have a spare RCM.
