Default Code Readers

I have been getting shifting issues with my 05 Coupe Limited and wanted to know if anyone has used the Foxwell NT520 series scanner to check codes? I know that we need to use the Mercedes software for our cars and this unit does come with that setup. Only have a budget for a unit under $200 so any advice or other option would be greatly appreciated.

For that money, you can buy the new Launch CP123E, which does more than my BOSCH1100 which cost me $79. (I really like my BOSCH, don't get me wrong.)

The ads for your device claim you can "reprogram" various modules, but it then says, "Those that can be programmed" - which tells me that it does no more than the '123 series.

The Foxwell with the Mercedes card reads much more than just trans, abs, srs and engine codes. It will also dig into all things Mercedes like seat adjustments, sun roof, all the do-dadas in the CD and mobile phone set up. It is Mercedes focused. The Crossfire doesn't have all that fancy stuff so if the CRP is less money it should do you well. I also own a Mercedes CLK 500 and the Foxwell has paid for itself ten times over already It is a good tool, but you do not need all the scans it will preform for your Crossfire. It is easy to use. I like it.
