Crossfire Coupe 2004 Spoiler randomly won't close
Recently I bought this car and the spoiler goes up fine, but randomly it fails to close on the dashboard switch. We have disabled the light switch sensor in the trunk in case that was being an interferance, tried replacing the fuses in the fuse box, tried locking unlocking tried opening closing doors, tried adjusting the hook in which the boot closes on - but nothing seems to work. I am wondering, have people had this issue as well? Any ideas on what I could try to fix it??

The Crossfire is very sensitive when the battery is beginning to fail, or is producing less than 14 volts. Please have your battery checked for strength, since the spoiler malfunction is an indicator of a weak battery. This matter has been discussed numerous times over the past 18 years of the forum. Please use the SEARCH button on the main page, insert your question and I'm sure there will be numerous threads on any subject.
Good Luck...

Put a new battery in the car, if problem persits, let's go from there.
(I know this sounds like a waste of money, as batteries cost money - but fact is, it is almost always the battery - and testing said battery usually gets you no where. Diagnostic labor will cost you more than a battery will.)
