Under drive pulley's...yeah!!!
Babeviper sold his Crossfire.
I did buy his Mercedes air box and it did make slight improvement in upper end pull...and smoothed out idle and throttle response.

Still no word from Euro-Rev on my challenge to prove their underdrive pulley idea... Maybe BabeViper or Dan would like to facilitate it...
I still think it's smoke and mirrors, but I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt with the terms I mentioned in my last post... If I don't get a response, I can only assume it's BS...

This article may enlighten you guys about the elusive "Under Drive Pulleys"...

Good luck for those who buy into the EvoSport claim...

It's funny because their (EVO) website specifically states that they do not recommend alteration of the crank pulley, due to potential damage to the engine. Their pulleys are only for the peripheral equipment eg. alternator, water pump and PS pump. Their claim of up to 12 hp gain from their pulleys makes me very suspicious, especially after reading that article I posted.
I think I'll spend my money elsewhere... Oddly enough I'm finding alot of these claims from various companies to be over inflated at best. Short of forced air induction, cams, porting & polishing and headers I would save my time and money... Not even the PowerChip I had done has provided a noticeable difference that justifies the cost.

Don't tell me you are surprised by the over inflated claims of manufacturers?
The SRT-6 (SLK32) responds well to the Pulley & ECU upgrade. They work very well together and deliver more a measurable increase in power vs. going with only one.

I am still stock but know a number of people that have gotten Chipped & Pulley'd and have the before & after dyno's to show the gains. I have also seen dyno runs with just the pulley's and there is a significant difference between the two.
I will probably go ahead and get the pulley's & ECU sometime in the next couple of months. Neither Evo nor ASP are on my list. Currently the two options I would consider are RENNtech and Kleeman. If I were to see the ASP pulley in person I may change my mind but I have heard mixed things about it.
