I have a 2004 base crossfire, 80,000 miles. Took it to the car wash and shortly after, the anti theft went off on the way home. Tried disconnection of battery and re-connecting, nothing fixed. Tried resetting system, nothing fixed. Took it to a Chrysler dealer after having it for 4 days said the Remote safety module was bad. we took the fuse out for the siren out but still the lights flash on and off. The car starts and runs fine, just the flashing lights. Dealership said they could not get that part from Mercedes, because they are a chrysler dealer. Currently the car is in Farmington NM with the closest Mercedes dealer being 300 miles away. Any ideas on a fix for this??
My next move would be to disconnect the siren or replace it. It is located under the windshield cowl area. Common issue with the siren is the enclosed battery leaks acid and shorts the circuit board causing all kinds of trouble. Siren is easy to purchase on line. Search the forum.

Before you replace the siren, as James suggests - just YANK IT OUT OF THERE and see if that fixes the problem. My bet is, it won't fix all of it.

1) High pressure car washes use WATER PRESSURE to clean the car, this can direct water into areas it does not belong. Less than a week ago, I got a call from a young girl who was in a panic, she went thru a car wash with her Kia and ti went into limp mode. The way to wash a car is simple: Two buckets, two mitts and some car shampoo. I know that no one wants to hear it, but that is the way it is.
2) "Anti theft went off" - what does that mean? Did you get the flashing lights? The Siren? Both? Any other indications? You must be specific, otherwise we are guessing.

There is no such module. But then, it's a dealer and they can't fix the car, as there is NO factory support for the Crossfire. See my sigline.

I suspect you got water into the Central Locking Pump/Security System Module (CLP/SSM) - probably thru the underside drains when the under carriage spray hit the bottom of the car.
Id yank the trim from the trunk area and look for water in and around the CLS/SSM. If you find water on/in/at the CLP/SSM, you found your problem. You must replace teh module and the last few feet of the wiring harness - used parts on eBay are one option or from a junk yard.
In fact, just yesterday I was working on a Roadster's inoperative top - I found a water damaged CLP/SSM, which explains the top not working. THe car in question sat in a garage two years. BUt just before they put it away, they drove thru 2 1/2 feet of water, flooding the CLP-SSM.

I just went through this exact ordeal.
I bought a new siren from needswings. I also plan on repairing my old one batteries are on order.
I repaired my CLP pump myself and I an willing to help others with this. If you take apart the CLP (instructions can be found on this forum)and take some pictures I can tell you if I can repair it. You can PM if you want and I can help walk you through the repair of the 18 pin connector and the CLP. My SSM module had very little corrosion on it so I cleaned the corrosion off with some electrical parts cleaner and a polymer brush. I always disconnect the negative battery cable before I unplug any electronics in a vehicle.
This is a great group of people on here and they will help you to repair your car.
