Default All Warning lights flashing and Whole Dash acting up

So a little history, 06 crossfire base, bought it two years ago (sight unseen on ebay in Florida). The issues described were bad clutch, interior dirty, and bad head liner. I got it home, got side tracked with my 04 crossfire which I had been restoring from just a rolling chassis, so it sat in the yard for 8 months. I got parts for it, replaced clutch and found out that 3rd gear is missing (can't engage it, all others work) but on the test drive, I found it was running rough so I parked it again until this weekend. We pulled it in the garage and this time it did not want to start. After cycling the key few times, it started but all the warning lights on the dash started flashing, gauges were rotating up and down, and the door chime kept dinging and never stopping. The car started, and I was able to drive it into the garage. We installed new plugs, known good coils, new valve gaskets, and new hoses. The car seems to run good minus the flashing lights issues. We managed to cause it to stop a couple time by turning the headlights on to full on, but now we cants even duplicate that. We also got new ground strap on the driver side to transmission and new battery terminal to passenger fender. But still the same issues. We checked all the fuses and they are all good. When testing the battery, it's coming back 12.8v. I also tried swapping it with the battery out of our 04 crossfire limited with 13.6v. Still the same issues, I went over each and every harness under the dash one at time to see if I can get it to stop with no luck. I even did the same with the control module in the trunk but still no luck . We are just out of ideas. The car starts fine with no issue just the whole flashing lights on the dash issue.

thanks
Manny

Bad alternator....most likely. At least that was the case when mine went bonkers like yours in the video.

I tend to agree as these cars need a good strong spark to keep going, I do not think they will run with a weak battery, a little stronger battery and they will run until that little extra power is eaten up by the lights being turned on. When the alternator quits it runs on battery power until that gets too weak. That is why you cannot bump start a six speed with out a good battery, maybe you cannot bump start them at all, I do not know.
That is what I have learnt, I hope I am correct.

My alternator died on the race track. My buddy followed me home with my battery in his car and his in mine. We had to switch batteries every 50 miles or so. (10 lb. racing batteries) The symptoms in the video were what I experienced on the drive home as the battery reached a voltage some electrical components couldn't function on. The first to go was the cooling fan, other random weirdness, every light on the dash flashing etc. but the engine kept running. My guess is the alternator. That's where I'd look first. These cars don't have wiring problems other than mice snacking on them. Or water leaks affecting certain interior components.

Post of the day, right there.

And I'd do this: Plug in a voltmeter to the cigarette lighter socket, or wire up a voltmeter in some other way. WIth engine running, I bet the thing will read about 10.5 volts!
If the alternator is turning, system voltage should be at least 13.0 and revving to 2000 rpm damn well better give you no less than 14.0

Anything less, and the alternator is not doing it's job.
