Need Help diagnosing no start
Need Help diagnosing no start
Could use a few extra set of eyes to look over current issues and advise
A few weeks ago my manual limited had the typical start then die immediately 3 times, then nothing. I've had the skreem/ecu sent out (came back with a clean bill of health), I checked the module in the truck for corrosion (nothing), plugged in my rcm for my srt6 (still won't start). My next steps are camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor
Any other ideas???
Thanks

Re: Need Help diagnosing no start
That is the signal that the SKREEM is telling the ECU to not allow a start. Did you send the keys in as well? They can't correctly assure you all is well without the keys, they must verify the SKREEM can read teh RFID chip in the key fob, because if the SKREEM can't read that code from the RFID chip in the FOB, this is exactly how it acts.
One reason for this to occur would be the O-ring around the ignition key, that black rubber ring has a loop antenna in it, that is how the SKREEM reads teh RFID chip in the key fob. I don't know that I've ever heard of that ring going bad, but I do know the wires from it have been found to be unplugged from the SKREEM - resulting in this issue.
Who checked the ECU and SKREEM? If they say they are OK, and it does not start, I"d be asking them.

My money is on Fuse 37
5 Amp Beige -- Circulating Air. Instrument Cluster. Radio Frequency Remote Control. Residual Engine Heat Utilization
That little 5 amp fuse can turn your car into a no start paperweight
