ECU Troublesoot
Congratulations on your success. It's been a long road for you, but your perserverance has paid off. Thanks for keeping us updated. For reference, if you don't mind me asking, how much did the "new" ECU and programming cost.
Thanks, sincerely

2 weeks ago I procured an ECU, then had a local guy clone the program from my original ECU to the replacement, installed it in the car and all the problems have been resolved.
I have driven the car many times since and every thing looks factory fresh. These 3 problems, ( no starter crank, no fuel pump, no o2 heater for sensor 2/2 are resolved.
I would like to thank all members who joined in with tips and suggestions on troubleshooting the problems. This has been quite an educational experience.

I've said it before and I will say it again: As our cars age, we are seeing stuff fail that NEVER happened just five years ago. Ive been here since 2009 and we once said "BCMs do not fail" and "ECUs almost never fail". But things are changing.
Bad SKREEMS or RCMs have been common for over 15 years, now we must get comfortable with BCMs and ECUs dying...
I found the ECU at a wrecker in Clearwater, Fl. It was out of a 05 MB ML350.
The programming was from a chap who works on (diagnosisng/programming) a lot of Mercedes-Benz cars for a local Fort Myers repair shop specializing in MB.

SOmething we are seeing is BCM failures, this is new in the last two years or so. Now you tell us of a failed ECU.
