Electrical gremlins
Looking for a solution to Chrysler Crossfire convertible electrical issues and think maybe either the RCM or BCM is the problem.
Let me explain: Initially everything worked fine. Then one day the top wouldn't retract. Turn the release handle above the windshield and the side windows retract, but nothing else happens but beeps. Went by the dealer that still had a Crossfire enthusiast/mechanic and he ran a diagnostic $$$- said the top control module was not talking to the speed sensor (car thinks it is going too fast for the top to operate). They stopped there, could not offer parts or any further help.
I talked with two gentlemen who are avid Crossfire enthusiasts, one suggested checking the pump in the right rear of the trunk, check for water damage, etc. Pump is clean, no damage, no signs water has ever been in the well. Another suggested the BCM might be the issue. Before I could check, circumstances dictated I put the car up as I would not have time to wok on it for a spell.
The next time I decided to pull the car out and continue my investigation the key FOB would not lock or unlock the vehicle. Lights flash when you depress the FOB button, but nothing else happens. (Note: if the engine is running and you happen to depress the FOB, the doors lock and unlock.) Still no luck with the top, but now this ads to the mystery.
The car had to sit again for several weeks until I could get time to work on it and when I attempted to start it to pull out of the garage it cranked, but would not start. Battery is good, engine cranks normally, but will not start. I listened and did NOT hear the fuel pump. I checked the fuel pump fuse, it is good. I opened the fuel line and no fuel is flowing when cranking. I pulled the RCM board and re-soldered the three pins associated with known problems (they did look suspect) but no success. I had someone turn the ignition switch ON while viewing the relays and it "appears" the fuel pump relay is not functioning, or at least no power is getting to it. I crawled under the car and put a volt/ohm meter on the pump terminals and no voltage shows when starter is engaged.
Noticed yesterday, that dome light is not operating, could be a bulb, but I suspect this is another gremlin.
Anyone have any idea why or where else to look, or have any other suggestions? If either of the enthusiasts I spoke with in the past have any ideas I would appreciate hearing from you again. I lost your contact information - my bad. Confused and frustrated! Thanks.

Just curious, how old is the battery? All of these symptoms could be a weak battery. Have you ever disconnected or replaced the alarm siren? As they age they short out and drain the battery.
