My 05 roadster has top hydraulic issues and I have been manually putting the top down and up. I do have the emergency tool for this.
Yesterday I put the top down and locked it as usual, no problem, but when I put the top up I could not lock it: the wrench was on the nut, but would not turn. It did want to turn the other way to unlock and the lid did rise a little; but to lock it…it did not work.
I put the top back down, clicked and locked no problem and the bow as well with the Allen, but in trying to put the top up…the lid closes flush to the body, nice and even, but don’t hear a click when pushed down, but inserting the wrench and turning clockwise…can’t do it.
Do you think it has failed? I would think so, but why does it lock no problem when top is down?
