Check engine light throwing code for fuel system lean and intake manifold runner sensor bank 1 reading high voltage, which makes sense since the variable length of the runner is what determines the fuel/air mixture. Suspect a vacuum issue but need a diagnostic scanner to narrow down on the exact problem. Is there a scan tool, non DRB3 ($$$), that can detail this issue and not cost an arm and a leg? A MB scan tool? If so which model? I have an Innova 5610 but it doesn't go deep enough. Thanks in advance.
I believe so, I have used it on a limited basis as I have been lucky with the car I purchased. But this was recommended by people on the Crossfire FB pages. Once I hooked it up I was surprised as to the depth it did go to. Remember you have to select the right Mercedes chassis and then I was able to run a full diagnostic. I found it on eBay for the lowest price.

TY for the reply. 'scuse my iggorence, but what else would I need besides power supply? Communication cabling? What micropod do I need?? Little lost with this one, but a quick study as a retired elex engineer. Sorry, just need a little pointing in the right direction. With only 18,000 miles on it I'm only just getting to the in-depth DIY aspect. In this case age rather than mileage. Oh, and it says for 2004-2006. Do I underdstand you to say this will work for my 2007? Thanks again.

Since that is not my ad in the marketplace, I would suggest that you respond to the forum member that has listed the DRBlll for sale. I'm sure he (Peter) will answer all of your questions that you may have, since you have a 2007 model. I supplied you with the link to the ad.

TY again for the friendly replies. Since you emphaticlly told me to "Buy it!" for $300 'to solve my issue' I thought you could answer my questions about it. Sorry. Hours spent reading all I could find on the issue, and related, all revolved around the MAF sensor, etc. I removed the MAF and cleaned everything with throttle body cleaner, reassembled, and cleared the codes. The K&N air filters are in great shape. Seems to have solved the issue, so far anyway. Last time I just cleared the codes and they came right back, so this is a positive. Perhaps the engine cowl rubber seal around the MAF was not properly sealed. The MAF had a lot of black soot. Perhaps time for a complete engine compartment cleaning. DIY on Crossfires seems to be largely a self-research, self-taught learning experience. Oh, and complete SDS systems and Xentry are still sold online, but I don't know much about them. Thanks for taking the time to help.
