What did I get myself into...
😮💨😮💨
First of all, I would like to thank each and every one of you. There is MORE than enough information in this forum for a crossfire owner. All of it has been so helpful. I've recently bought an 04 crossfire. When I got there it fired up and died. There was a couple electrical issues I noticed right off hand but I thought, "if it turns over then there can't be much major wrong with it." So I bought it thinking I've got an easy project to work on... Wrong! I'm dealing with SKREEM and I have researched every angle to bypass it. Nothing... My mind still hurts thinking about it because in my heart, I KNOW there has to be a way!! But I'm over that now! I've accepted that either I'm going to have to purchase the program and equipment to access eeprom or send it off. This morning I went back out to check things out, dig a little deeper into the matter. As I'm going through fuses and relays I noticed, first that this man had already had some issues and tried to fix them himself and 2nd the issues were mice nesting under the fuse box with brake like relay and pulse mod. My question is, if I were to fix immo/ECU issue... What're the odds that it would do it again with wires chewed up or not wired up right. I'm determined to go through this car and get it going. I'm going to pull this part of the harness and start chasing wires with a diagram but if I mistakingly wire something in the wrong place, how close to home am I from aborting new Immo?

Peel back the wiring loom/wrapping and one wire at a time same color to same color; checking continuity before you make connection as per diagrams.
Don't make it a job. Work at when your in the mood, always have battery disconnected. Don't Mickey Mouse the connection. They need to be soldered.
Don't try starting the car until you have everything wired as best you can, AND then leave the battery connected overnight. Check all your fuses before attempting a start, then move the key to point three wait, all the warning lights should light on the instrument cluster, and check fuses again after thirty minutes.
Best of luck

Thank you very much! I'm excited to work on it some more. Idk what it is about this car... I haven't even gotten to drive it yet 🥴 but it has my attention. Invested many hours watching videos and reading these forums. Originally I bought the car to fix and resale... Idk if it will be easy to get rid of her... I would like to restore it! Thank you for taking the time to throw some pointers my way. I'm aware of ALOT but there was a couple things that you said that makes sense, I wasn't aware of so thank you so much!

I've done a lot of work on mine, and every time I do I document it and post it in my thread: My Journey with my 2006 Roadster...
There's a ton of detailed pictures and information in the thread. You might have to search or scroll for what you're looking for.
I update it every time I work on it.
Good luck!
John
