Default MAP Sensor and Vacuum Pipe Replacement

Went to fit a replacement MAP sensor on my roadster today and when removing the original sensor I found that the end of the vacuum pipe that fits on the nipple on the rear of the sensor had become brittle and the end broke off when I tried to to pull it off. I just about managed to pull enough pipe to connect it to the nipple on the rear of the new sensor but it’s not on the nipple far enough for me to have confidence in the connection.

I guess after 20 years the vacuum pipe is passed its sell by date and I want to replace it. I had a go at tracing the route of the pipe to find out where its other end is connected to but didn’t have any luck as it’s routed through a sleeve with another pipe. From research it seems that the other end should be somewhere near the inlet manifold but this may not be the case.

Has anyone replaced this pipe? If so where should I be looking for its other end? Also, is the inner diameter of a replacement pipe 3.5 or 4mm and did you replace with heat resistant rubber pipe or silicon?
