Default Propshaft Center bearing

Hi,

First post, some help needed please?
Can anyone tell me if the propshaft center bearing with carrier, is the same on Manual and Automatic cars ? I have spent hours searching but cannot find an answer.
I am in the UK and I have a standard (Not SRT) Automatic car. I am really struggling to find the correct part number and the old part doesn't seem to have any numbers on it. If anyone can help that would be great. Many thanks

Have you downloaded the free service manual in the documents collection? If you get to the section where the part is mentioned, you can then look up the part number through an online search. Once you find the Chrysler part number, look for the cross-reference to a Mercedes number. OR, lookup a 2004 SLK-320, I believe the part is the same as the crossfire N/A (Naturally Asperated). Good luck.

Hi, I have now found the service manual, which will be very helpful for future use, thanks. It has the part number for the prop bearing, but it appears to be discontinued.I know most parts are Mercedes SLK r170. Is the prop bearing definately the same as a SLK320 Auto. Some places I have read that Auto and manual cars have a different bearing, so confused !
