Hesitation from dead stop
So before I purchase a new MAF sensor, let me explain the circumstances. I started the car up just fine this morning. It warms up quickly in Florida. Took of then every stop sign (6 total) I had hesitation when pressing down on the accelerator. I thought it was going to die but it didn't and I took it home. Ran a code reader on it and got a P0103 code. I took disconnected the maf sensor and housing, sprayed it with maf cleaner and wiped it down. I also sprayed the intake with the proper cleaner and wiped it down. Both were clean as a whistle, including the butterlfy. I cleaned the connectors and put everything back together again. Cleared the code. Took it for a drive and still the same results. My 2005 Chrysler convertible limited (it is NOT an SRT) has almost 31000 miles on it by the way. Any imput is appreciated.
Actually it's been a few years since I have changed them. I pulled both out and they look like brand new. I opened the pleats just in case and it was actually a disappointment they looked like they had just been purchased. Everything, even the rubber seal was soft, pliable and clean. I wonder if 21 years and the florida heat taken it's toll on sensors.

I would check for a vacuum leak first. Inspect all of the hoses and lines going to the MAF and the intake.
There is a small vacuum line on the back of the intake that may be broken or brittle.
A quick way to check for a leak is to have the car running and spray a little starter fluid or carburetor cleaner around the hoses and the intake. If the engine revs up a little, your leak is in that area.
There are some videos on you tube on how to check for leaks.
Good luck!
