Very curious. Seems like the SRT6 belt tensioner pulleys aren't available anymore. What do you guys do once it wears out?
Can the N/A one be substituted?
Also have heard split opinions. Do you use the E10 torx to release belt pressure or a 15mm socket (the screw behind the torx)?
I tried the 15mm and am afraid I actually loosened the tensioner? Might be in my head buts it has a slight wobble and had too much play imo.
Should I tighten that 15mm screw or should I tighten the 2 screws that hold it in place?
But more importantly, if these aren't to be found new anymore, what are you doing if it breaks?

Maybe Rob at Needswings.com can hook you up with one.

Rock Auto and https://www.autohausaz.com/ have them. You just need to search under SLK32 AMG, and the price is reasonable.

Unfortunately, those would both be incorrect. The belt tensioners shown on both sites are for a non SC Engine
The belt tensioner for the M112K SC XF are out of production. They are not available anywhere. Best chance to locate a used one, is to contact Rob.
So, I am really confused at this point. We know the SRT belt tensioner is different from the N/A. The SRT6 one has the 10E torx, the N/A doesn't.
I cannot find the SRT Belt Tensioner ANYWHERE for the life of me, but I found the picture of the SRT engine, at the Chrysler museum (or at least some kind of display of the "original SRT" engine) and it looks to me like it has the N/A belt tensioner.
Can the SRT belt tensioner just be replaced with the N/A version? Or is there an upgraded one that looks the same? I need help finding this part. I do not have a larger Crank pulley, just a 65mm Supercharger pulley.
What's everyone's idea? I find it hard to believe that the unavailibility of the SRT6/SLK32AMG belt tensioner will send these cars to the junk yard.
Rob at @NeedsWings has one - it is used but he wouldn't sell it if it wasn't in good condiotion
You can email him and see if he has a source for a new one too Sales@NeedsWings.com

The one in the picture is the SRT6 tensioner. The N/A has a torx screw on the front and the pulley is different.

I do indeed have a brand new M112k tensioner sitting in the box on my shelf. I also have two used tensioners. Feel free to shoot me a message here to the inbox or send me an email: zjoslyn13@gmail.com

Question for me is, a lot of places list SLK32AMG/C32 AMG and they look similar at least, to the N/A tensioner. Do they fit? They cost a fraction of the cost outlined above.
What happens if one of those is installed? I’m just thinking there has to be a replacement option for less? Could be totally wrong though.
Ok, silly question. Why wouldn't the N/A tensioner work on an SRT6 engine?
The mounting holes match up, I would think the pulley is the same size. The orientation looks the same.
Is it because the pulleys are made of different materials? Has this been tried?

I would think not because the tensioner has to take a lot more stress. I sure wouldn't if I owned an SRT-6, if it does explode down the line I wouldn't want to have to fix it (iffin I had one)...
