It’s an odd thing.
I have an issue with my 2004 Chrysler crossfire. When I go to start it it just turns over. Nothing I then shut it off and try again, this time nothing no crank nothing. Then when I shut it off and turn it back on it cranks right over. Driving it has no issues no lag in power just rides perfectly. Anyone else have this issue. Also a garage had it for a year didn’t fix it. They did how ever parts change the **** out of it. Any thoughts. Love my car.
No crank is usually the RCM.
Crank with no start can be: Low fuel pressure, bad crank or cam sensor, screwed up throttle body or several other items.
I would replace the RCM, send the bad one to DJ for rebuild, and go from there. (No one should be driving around without a spare RCM - they plug in without using ANY tools and they fail kinda often).
Search "2003 Mercedes SLK320 Relay Control Module" and buy from the most reasonable retailer.
If you then get some "cranks but no starts", I'd do this:
Measure fuel pressure when the car is not starting, if it is not 50-58psi, replace the fuel pump and filter/regulator.
If the car won't start when warm but starts when cold, order a BOSCH* Crank Position sensor for a 2003 Mercedes SLK320. (Or any other Mercedes of that era with the M112 V6 3.2L engine, they are all the same.)
We can go from there.
*If you buy a non-Bosch sensor, please do not post here ever again, you are wasing your time and ours. I say this because a LOT of newbs don't listen, and then pay the price for not listening, you came here for advice - you are getting advice.

Chrysler is going to LOVE your wallet. Fair warning. Almost all the parts I saw from Chrysler (supposed to be factory parts) came with a Mercedes Benz sticker under the Chrysler sticker (many many more dollars for the Chrysler part vs Mercedes Benz part). Look under the hood and find any part connected to the engine, you'll see. Much of the car is MB.
.
The supercharged SRT6 are based one the SLK 32 AMG and the non supercharged cars are based on the SLK 320. You would save a ton of money if you buy the Mercedes-Benz part as opposed to the Chrysler part.
Example: Chrysler water pump part# 5097159AC $501.60 LINK - Chrysler Water Pump
Example: Mercedes-Benz water pump part# 112-200-14-01-80 $297.60 LINK Merceds Water Pump
Even better, a trusted source for Crossfire parts: Needswings.com water pump: $135.95 Needswings Water Pump
My point is, do some research before reaching for your wallet. If you're not sure of something ask. That's what we're all here for.
Good luck!
This may help when you are looking for "factory parts". What GraphiteGhost said is true, our cars are based on the 2001 - 2004 Mercedes-Benz R170 platform.
