lordy, lordy, lordy. i almost made it though a whole day without anything breaking but alas no luck. this problem actually began a few days ago but i wrote it off to me trying to incorrectly start the car, like maybe i have to have my foot on the brake to start it or something like that. but i no longer think that is the case. here's what its doing, i place the key in the ingistion and turn it one click, everything lights up as it should, then i turn it to crank the starter and nothing happens. after that i have to turn the key all the way back in order to try again. at first it only did this once and would start on the 2nd try but now it's getting worst. from what i read on this forum this appears to be the rcm failing. i have read the how-to and i believe i can fix it. can someone confirm my suspicions ? i need to get this fixed and the wing and the funny noise problem soon, we all know that i will soon be SKEEMING !
Send me your RCM and I'll rebuild it to BETTER than new condition. Email me, tighed1@hotmail.com for the details. Hundreds have and their RCM troubles are over!
If it fails to start, you always have to turn the key off and start over. Getting the rebuild is the way to go and always carry a spare RCM, the relays wear out.
have you considered adding a voltage regulator and replacing the relays with ssr's ? the voltage regulator will keep the voltage stable (no spikes) the ssr's should then last forever.
looks like the issue is with the clutch switch. if i press it down normally the car won't start. if i press it down very hard it does start. i've ordered a new clutch switch. should be here next week.
