Default the devil is dead

hit a tree trying to miss a deer tonight, tried to upload pics but it keeps f'ing up i need to know what you guys think. i hit the tree... about 5 feet in diameter at around 40mph on the passenger side headlight, of course bumper is gone hood is done pass fender is tucked behind the door, pass wheel is tucked up into the fender and the whole pass side seems to be a fair amount lower including the rear, which the rear tire is now tucked up into the fender well. the engine is knocking badly seems all the coolant ran out and when i stumbled out of it i forgot to turn the car off, and it over heated, was smoking and the whole bit. the pass side airbag deployed the driver side did not, broke the windshield, it seems the radiator core support is pushed back pretty far, there looked to be no room between the motor and fan. any guess' until i get some pics posted? im gonna try doing smaller batches at a time, i will post and let you guys know as soon as i get the pics up. btw im fine, lil shook up, and broken hearted but ok all the same.

What can anyone say here.....this sucks. You had a awesome modded ride.
I was looking forward to meeting you at the Dragon too. I do hope you are physically OK and can get past this heartbreaking loss. Hang in there and focus on the positive thing here... you walked away from this tragedy. Gary

Irwin, that's terrible news but glad you're OK. Your car was so unique. Let's hope they total it so you can move on with your life.
Good Luck

You could always check around to see if ya can find a "rental" Crossfire for the Dragons Tail.

By your description of the damage, it sounds like a total loss. Your XFire is wrecked but at least you're okay. Time to go XFire shopping and start anew.

I'm sure like the rest of the forum members, I would like to see the pics of the damage to see how your car stood up in the crash.

Bob

Erwin, sorry to hear of your accident. I'm glad you're fine though. That's the most important thing.

What kind of problems are you having loading your pics?

Irwin,

First, I'm glad you are unhurt.
Second, I'm glad the car performed as far as avoiding the deer.
Third, you have my deepest simpathy for your bent Crossfire, it was a true gem.

Now you just need to find an SRT6... and put some of your stuff in it.

The devil isn't dead at all. Just sidelined temporarily. Maybe that's why this is in the "how to" forum. Glad you're okay, though. That's the most important thing -- by far.

I'll provide the bat!!!
Sorry, Coupegirl, you should NEVER attempt to weave out of the way of a deer because then trees will appear out of nowhere. Slam on the brakes & hope for the best, odds are they'll move.
