Looks like only the drhrsh pictures are missing. I checked to see when he posted last and he sold his XF in October - does that have something to do with it? They really helped me so it would be nice to get them back. Anyone know?

I went onto google images and searched for "sticky ignition". Wholla! Two pics only but, atleast something. Problem is that when you try to enlarge the pics it can't find the image.

I'm assuming that you can't get anywhere without taking the key tumbler out. I have not been able to push the locking pin in to remove the assembly. Cablespeed, do you have the same issue?

Has anyone tried what was posted on BenzWorld?

My car is almost 6 years old and I am concerned I will have this problem in the near future. What is the exact part number I should order so that I can change it now while it is easy to do?

I am actually trying to resolve this issue currently with my XFire and I remember seeing the pics a few months ago but now they are gone! it looks like the location they were originally posted at was taken down, so I was wondering if an admin had any older cached versions of this page that have the pics in it or if anyone has a saved pdf by chance????

Thumbs up re: Sticky Ignition Key Fix for all Crossfires 2004 thru 2006

Thank You Rekcah for the time and effort you took to get pic's back up here on the forum. After much review of your pics I deceided to jump in and get this fix done! Lucky I got stuck in the driveway of my home! Well I was one of the unlucky ones whose key wouldn't turn and had to drill. Reassembled the job and it's working great!

Mods - Maybe we could delete this thread and make start a new sticky with my previous post(#113) with the attached files. So others will not post, "Where's the pictures?" over and over again. Just a thought.
Thanks so much for taking the time to post the new pictures
It is a very long thread and I admit I almost asked what happened to the original pictures before I got to your posting.
Thanks Again. going to do my car tomorrow
