Wind Noise TSB #23-023-03 - 10/17/03
It is a simple adjustment the dealership can provide. If they need specific information on it, tell them to look up:
TSB Number 23-023-03 Dated October 17, 2003
I have a copy of it in my hand as we speak.
It is not "normal" for the vehicle to have wind noise, however some were just not adjusted properly from the factory. It covers all builds as it is not a defect but an adjustment. I checked to see if my window was going up too high, that is not the case on my car.

1. Where can "we" get copies of this TSB or any others for that matter?
2. Would it be unreasonable to ask the dealer and have him show me the TSB before letting them preform the work?
3. Is the window TSB a two part fix:
a. Adjust the seal first?
b. Then take the door apart to adjust the window track itself if the seal adjustment doesn't work?
It would be nice to be informed of the work they are supposed to do. Being knowlegeable on the subject may help keep from having to take the car in several times for the same problem.
You guessed it... I had my car in for service and still have the wind noise. There is a small gap about 4-5 inches long starting from the front corner of the window where I can easily push the key in. The passenger's window is sealed tight and has no such gap.
My "freindly" service writer mumbled something about adjusting the seal. The repair invoice states the dealer's fix was, "Adjust the mirror flag weather strip as per TSB23-23-03... Repair verified by SKM".
Thanks for any input.
I have had my car in four times to two dealers. I get the answer that every thing is within specs and if there is still noise this is characteristic of the car from one and the other managed to make it worse.
There are 2 separate wind noise tsb's. It would be best the dealership review both procedures. If they can't get it fixed, have them contact the tech advisor assigned to there area.

And what specs? Sound meters? Your Approval is the only spec I can think of.
I want to map the Chrysler service folks out here in Seattle.
FYI: I just took my 2004 limited in to dealer because of wind noise and they looked it up in their system and replaced both door surround seals but did not do anything with the window seals. It seems much better after that modification.
I got a '04 black coupe about a week and a half ago, I love it. But anyway, I have the wind noise, too. Would that be under warranty? My bumper to bumper is good until april of '08 >> Thanks.
Yes, there are two recalls one for adjusting the fit of the glass to the rubber seal and then another where they put a new 'upgraded' seal around both doors. All under warranty! Hope this helps you, good luck.

I had a problem with wind noise on my drivers side door when I bought my car two years ago.
I had it at the dealers three times to get fixed.
The first two times they adjusted the glass and made it slightly better.
The third time it went in they replaced the seal and eliminated the wind noise.
Please don't be fobbed off.
They can fix it and make sure they do.
It used to drive me mad the minute I went over about 50 mph.
The car is much nicer to drive now.
Norrie.

Sure, the part numbers for the door seals are:
5142448-AA and 5142449-AA, which are also both referred as SEAL DOOR 23043024.
Hope this helps, Adam

the rubber weather stripping that surrounds the door includes the 'flat black plastic triangle behind the side mirror' attached/molded to it as one piece.
