You are awesome....and I am a Pro in searching the internet....but did not find anything in 1 hr search!
THX so much.....now I hope I can get these 2 screws out in the console..... thx God I have pictures how to make all that happen. I am also in the progress to fix my convertible top switch what fell inside the console, that way I fix everything in one strike. I am ordering also the Quick touch convertible top switch , with one click the top opens and close by itself without holding the button......
Have you heard from it and what do you think about it?

There are kits that enable you to refinish the surface and make them like new. New ones cost around $600 each, second hand ones may need refinishing as well.

The repair kits cost around $20 and do both lights.

Meguiars, 3M and others make kits. There is a lot of info on this site about the repair and instructions as well. If you do a search you will find a lot of info.

thank you, I will try to clean them like you said.
I am working on different tasks. My convertible Top switch bracket what holds the switch broke and I tried to get underneath the middle console to see if I can fix it. Unfortunately I will need the silver panel on the top of the middle console where the Top switch and mirror switch are ankered. I have no idea where to find this middle peace and how they call it. For now I just pulled out the right window switch from the passenger seat and put the Top switch there in order to open and close the top, what happens on a daily basis, I live in Miami Fl
Of course I don't like to see the hole there and all this mess for a little piece of plastic pisses me off. I am a perfectionist (german) hahahaha....
If there is anyone who has some ideas how I can fix this mess?
However thx for all your help......

Great write up, did this pain in my elbow removal last night in 20 minutes. FYI, my cup holder was stuck up and would not stay down.....
