Hidden menu to validate mileage
Hidden menu to validate mileage
Hi all,
I'm actually on a good way to buy a crossfire.
I need to validate the mileage by myself when testing the car.
I know that this car is 80% Mercedes, and, therefore, there was a way to enter a special service menu (hidden and unlocked by using a special combination with the buttons) on certain models.
Does the crossfire has such a thing, and, if yes, how does it works ?
By the way, thanks !

Re: Hidden menu to validate mileage
I THINK the odometer reading is contained withing the PTCM. I have never read of a way to verity it OR change it.
Of course, if the PTCM has been changed, possibly it would start out with 000000.0 again, but I would think the dealer would set the mileage to what was in the old one, if possible.
Maybe Rudy or someone will show up with the real answer, but again, I don't think there is a way to "verify" it.
