srt wont shift
srt wont shift
I have posted this problem in the past where my srt the check engine would inadvertently come on and not allow the car to shift at certain times. When this occurred in the past, and I was able to get it to reset by turning the engine off then back on and if that didn't work, I could get it to work again of unplugging the battery. This would also reset the check engine light. I was told here that it was probably the inter cooler pump which I then changed and made no difference. Now the check engine light has come on and it feels like I have no power and in the drive position it wont shift or allow me to manually downshift Any ideas? Thanks Mike

Re: srt wont shift
This can be accomplished with any number of inexpensive code readers.
I have this one and know it works :
https://www.amazon.com/LAUNCH-CReader-Transmission-Diagnostic-Scanner/dp/B071K5GMHJ/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1548764742&sr=8-20&keywords=tcm+code+reader
but there are quite a few cheaper ones.
Bottom line, don't pay a dealer to do it.
