Default How to: Install USB charger in the CONSOLE

Been working on doing the dual usb install but would really like to do it in the center console, has anyone attempted it ?? I had that setup in my Vette and the console seems to be plenty big for stuff. Input from anyone?

i bought this fm transmitter with dual usb ports on ebay it goes into your cigarette lighter you put your music on a sd card which plugs into it tune your radio to a unused frequency and it plays all your music, recharges your phone and a lot of other features $13 free shipping https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bluetooth-F...EAAOSwE0BezuAt

Funny that you mention that FM transmitter friend, I have always driven Vettes and I have been using on like that for years, I will post the name but it worked great in my C6 Vert ( Convertible Vette) even with the top down. It really fits in well in tight quarters and hides well. I like to hard wire mine just to leave the cig lighter open for whatever . I am attaching the link http://www.kawal.net/bluetooth.htm .The Kinivo BTC450 Rocks! Check it out.

That Hack is exactly what got me thinking about it Mennace . Such a great mod for the XF and I just ordered my dual usb d from the link in the thread and it will be here tomorrow !! What I have not seen is someone doing the install in the center console. Thanks again to Grip Grip for taking the time and doing the write up.. Now if I can ever get my cig lighter figured out I will be set. . I have been hard at it on my Limited for a couple of weeks, or so my wife tells me. See is madder than a Mashed Cat cause I keep messing with this car. She is always asking me "Why cant you just leave stuff alone" LoL I have my eye out for a SRT but I am loving the XF. and dont thinki I will let this car go.

Maybe I will take a few pics of my "DUAL USB" console install to share . .who knows. Thanks for the search link because I had a heck of a time finding the write up from Grip Grip
