Default BDM100 USB tuning tool???

Does anyone know what cars make this programmer /reader is compatible with?
Anyone with experience with it?
DealExtreme: $127.25 BDM100 USB Vehicle OBD-2 Reader/Programmer Tool (100~240V AC)

Can I really copy programs from other cars and flash my own vehicle?

In short, yes. You can get very cheap cables to pull files off of these cars, some as low as $30.00. However, you will not be able to do anything with these files unless you have the software to read them, that's where the big money is at.

well If there is an identical car that runs better than mine, I can copy the files and transfer them over to my car, right?

they state that they do offer the Race Software that will read and write, have you any experience with this system?

Not exactly. Once you get the software that can pull up the correct Spark and Fuel tables then you can compare that to your stock file and see where the changes are at. Just a heads up though, the crossfire ECU has 147 different stock ECU tunes.

As for RACE, yes we use this. RACE2000 is completely out of date so don't waste your money on it because you won't be able to buy the files from the company to get it to work.

RACEEvo on the other hand is perfect. The cheapest you can get this is about 3800.00 EURO, but that doesn't include the specific hardware you need to flash their files or the bios files. Cheapest way to get started with RACE is 8200.00 EURO.
