Default Road tax

Watching fifth gear tonight and they mentioned about the new tax bands.
Looked up the Crossfire and it's to go up to £430 in 2010.WTF.
Not at all happy considering one of my wheels is fucked with the state of the roads.
It will go up to £300 next year and then £430 the year after.
Check out any other cars here.http://cars.lycos.co.uk/cars/road-ta...px?deriv=25979

Agreed! Its a total rip-off. I just can't wait for the next general election. These lefties want to take away our freedom of choice and have us all on bicycles and horseback. We are taxed to the hilt and get very little of it returned to us in the form good quality services. Ah' well better start saving up for our gas bills as well!

what percent of your income do you pay in taxes? we in the U.S. pay 51% of our income in taxes. and the funny part is that 99% of all Americans don't even know it ,,our tax system keeps it hidden in such a way no one thinks they pay that much,,,most people think they pay 28% but they don't,, here is some ,no all of the taxes in the U.S. income tax ,homeowners tax , schoot tax, gas tax, tire tax, state tax ,(different for ea state ) cigerrette tax, county tax, city tax, phone tax,cel phone tax, cable tax, food tax,
and that is just some of them but almost every person here in United States pay 51% of ever dollar they earn in tax.

This was one of the main reasons I got out back in March. As the owner of a Crossfire registered on 29th March 2006 (6 days after the cutoff, if I recall correctly), my £400 tax was due soon, along with my £600 insurance on top of the £425 payments on the car..... Should have thought about it sooner, I had just bought new tyres

Still didn't really learn, I traded it for the 2.0 CVT Dodge Caliber; should've got the 1.8..

amx1397,
Believe or not, you guys are probably getting a good deal; if anyone over here actually added up all our taxes there'd probably be a riot. Okay probably not, a group of people would probably discuss it over a cup of earl gray and consider the effectiveness of a peaceful march to Westminster..

Apparently, there was a protest recently about the raise in tax on red diesel for boats......
