Default Whats that beeping

Help. Just after the ignition lights come on there's one short warning beep coming from the dash! I know its due a service because I have the two spanners service symbol on. But should it beep as well?

Do any of the switches on the lower console flash?

For Service B, I believe the settings can be set to a beep as well as the double wrenches,, or??

Are your fluid levels okay? Any warnings on those?

Just tried it again. No, lower switches are not flashing and fluids levels are OK. I turn the ignition on and 5 seconds later a short beep. Very odd. If its a service warning sounder, the dealer should reset it after the service?

If it's tied to the FSS reset, then yes, it should go away too. Should.

Cool Re: Whats that beeping

Are you going to do the service yourself Jon? If so you will save yourself a fortune and then you can reset the service indicator any time. My full service cost me about £90.00 including the K&N's. Im sure mine bleeped in the same way, but it stopped once I'd reset it. The instructions are in the handbook, its very fiddly and took me quite a few attempts.
Cheers, Steve

Hi Steve.

No, I was going to take it to a Chrysler dealer because of the reset.

Hi Jon, we can do the service reset at the December meet if you want to leave it till then, which take it back to zero from where it will count down 10K miles again. Now that my car is out of warranty I dont think chrysler servicing prices are worth the stamp in the book, and will do all ny own now. However, as the mileage is not being put on it will prob just be an annual service anyway. As you know, its only oil, filters and levels with a good check over on these cars.
Cheers, Steve

Hi Steve.

I found some threads on how to reset the service indicator. All done now and the beeping has gone. Doing a B service at work this week and I will stamp the book with my own garage stamp.

Thanks mate
Jon
