Post London Marathon

I have been lucky enough to secure a place through my local running club for this year's London Marathon . Although I have run a few half marathons in my time (ok, all but one of them maybe 20 years ago!), this will be the furthest distance I have attempted by far.

As many marathon entrants do, I'm using the opportunity to raise money for a worthwhile charity. Details can be found here:

http://www.justgiving.com/chris4snap

This is a charity that is very important to me, and if you're able to spare a few pounds, your contribution will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support, and if you're anywhere near London on the morning of 26th of April (or lying in bed watching BBC 1 ), feel free to see me suffer on the day !

Cheers Steve ...and yes, I must be mad! Despite a rather painful shin splint that I've been living with for the past 6 weeks, my training is still on target and the level of fund raising has been fantastic. As you said, every donation helps....the charity I'm raising funds for was, and continues to be, a huge support for my son...and his parents.

Well the day was everything it promised to be and more (like hot!!). I have updated my sponsorship page with the result.

Thank you for all of your words of encouragement and your donations. A good friend e-mailed me last week to tell me that he'd heard the first 26 miles are the hardest. Turned out to be sound advice...he was right!

Cheers
