Default It's raining...?

As it's been continually poor weather Ive realised on using the wipers that a new set of blades would be a good idea as I'm getting some real noise and little wiper action, streaks and alike being left on the windscreen. Any recommendations on a decent new set would be very much appreciated - especially on the retro fit flat wipers - which look like an option for me at the mo - but I have heard some sets may be better than others.

I think the best deal is just to buy the inserts and fit them yourself. It's certainly cheaper, about 1/5 the cost of buying the whole assembly.

CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE 2002+ Retrofit Flat Wiper Blades on eBay (end time 25-May-10 12:46:37 BST)

I put a set of these on about 6 weeks ago.

They look pretty sleek and clear the windscreen perfectly. No noise, even when dry!

Only slight niggle is that the passenger blade is slightly longer the=an the standard blades and just touches the rubber trim on the windscreen surround. Not a problem so far. I'm monitoring it and if it seems like it's causing any damage to either the surround or the blade I'll just cut a few MM of the end of the blade. I'll try and post a picture later.

Regards, Andy.

I replaced mine with Bosch Evolutions. Best blades I have had on any car hands down!

Glad to be of assistance!

Does your passenger side blade touch the rubber surround like mine? It's only by a millimetre or so and I've been through a bit of rain now and it's not causing a problem.

Cheers, Andy.
