Sprint Booster amplifies the throttle signal and removes that delay

SRT SIX has them for sale.

You could also do a "throttle Reset"

Turn the ignition on but do not start the engine.
Push the throttle to the floor for five seconds
Let the pedal up and turn the ignition to off.
Leave the key in the ignition for at least two minutes.

Resets the throttle to factory

For most guys, two minutes is all they ever need for five seconds of bliss. So it is an easy proceedure to remember. Do it about once a month.

BTW "S" stands for summer, not sport. "W" stands for winter which defaults the tranny to second gear starts.

With all due respect Steve, I am sure there are. Any listed here on the Forum?

I would not be surprised to learn that the units SRT SIX sells are imports from Europe.

I'm sure the UK members would like a proven source. Do you have one?

Here is the UK Distributor:

Sprint Booster - Electronic Throttle Control Replacement for Faster Response and Greater Acceleration

2 models now available - the new one is switchable so it can be set in either standard mode as well as booster mode.

They are manufactured in Greece and there are distributors all over the world. I did have one but sold it on a while ago. We had a craze on them here a couple of years ago. The product is good fun, but this combined with the throttle re set is amazing,

Have fun!

So, Flying V, There you go.

Now as for CAI I would bet you have a source other than Needswings.

For a Eurocharged tune, it is done over the internet so the only issue would be timing and the exchange trate. Given the weak dollar you might do good with a highly roccomended USA tuner.

However you guys do have Startec right?

Hi Frank,
Startech tuning is no longer doing engine tuning or indeed any Crossfire mods, they have moved on to doing stuff for the 300c. However there are lots of Mercedes specialists who can offer super chips and remaps for the W170 and these suit the standard Crossy. A couple of years ago we had a club member who could do the re maps at the meets from his laptop. We find here that the folks who want more ooomph just go and buy SRT's!

The problem we have with importing from USA is the duty we have to pay at this side of the pond which can make it non competitive.

I was trying not to be sarcastic or political but for me it is hard. Startec is also quite pricey.

Import duties, for all the reasons we hate them, are useful. Iffor no other reason that to raise revenues on items purchased by choice.

You are choosing home grown sources. A good thing.

Most Benz dealers won' let their guys touchour cars. So we are happy to work with tunershops and thos "import" car places. I find that funny since almost no car in the country is built here in the USA, especialy the GM, FORD,and Chrysler products.

Assmbled, uh,,,,, OK. But the components and many sub assys are from Mexico, Asia and Canada.

there is a slight delay ..but to what degree you are talking about i dont know...the sprint booster takes up the slack i feel when your on the top setting (red)there is less travel to be used in the pedal for the same result as putting it to the floor if you see what i mean ...
